Shayne Young
Chief Information Officer

A seasoned electronic trading veteran, Shayne Young is Chief Information Officer at Kershner Trading Group, LLC.

Shayne takes pride in helping traders automate trading workflows and strategies that are cost effective and innovative. He has helped to shape the trading experience by creating, refining, and extending tools that help with trade identification, trade execution, risk management, and post trade analysis.

Prior to his promotion to CIO, Shayne led various teams in innovation, product management, securities operations, and technology operations. He has held these roles for Kershner Trading Group, Instinet, and ProTrader (formerly Cornerstone Securities where he began in 1995). In 2001, Shayne played a critical role in the acquisition and integration of ProTrader by Instinet.

Shayne attended the University of Texas, where he earned a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration focusing on finance and management information systems.

When Shayne’s not helping to build the world’s best trading system for proprietary traders, he’s probably out riding his bike or snow skiing.
