We are looking for a person that is good communicator throughout various departments in an organization. They will need to be very flexible with their workflow and creative problem solvers. We are seeking a person with a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and a minimum 7-10 years experience in development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Professional software development experience, including at least 5 years of experience developing Windows based client-server software using object oriented techniques
• Strong experience working directly with end-users to understand their needs, define new application features, train end users on the new features and receive feedback.
• Experience overseeing a small development team of 3 to 6 engineers ensuring tasks are appropriately assigned, development process is being followed and design and coding standards are being met.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a specific aptitude for rapidly identifying and resolving issues
• Strong analytical skills, with a specific emphasis on data structure and algorithmic modeling, analysis and tuning
• Fundamental understanding of software design patterns and effective use of development methodologies
• Disciplined approach to software design and ability to communicate design recommendations
• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2003, 2005 or 2008
• Recent and significant use of .NET 2.0, 3.0 or 3.5 with specific development in C#
• Experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Framework)
• Experience developing multi-threaded server applications that meet demanding performance and latency constraints
• Experience using profiling tools and techniques to optimize program flow and resource utilization
• Experience working with N-tier architectures
• Experience with SQL database concepts and usage
• Excellent grasp of software engineering principles including development and release lifecycle processes
• Disciplined use of a source control system
• Strong sense of teamwork with excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with .NET remoting
• BS in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent work experience

Desired Qualifications:

• 8+ years of software development experience
• Experience with trading or financial software, ideally Asian equities or listed derivatives trading. Proprietary or institutional experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of multi-threaded application development and effective use of multi-core technology
• Experience in architectural design concepts and system design
• Experience with SOA models
• Experience with middleware messaging solutions (e.g. LBM, TIBCO, MQ, etc)
• Experience with Enterprise Architect by Sparxsystems
